TALKING NUMBERS

The Pricing

I’ve never been a fan of the time-based approach to pricing for wedding videography or photography. With video, most of the magic happens in the editing room.

Seriously, I’m talking at least 40+ hours wrangling hundreds of gigabytes of video, listening to hours of audio that may or may not include some very hilarious, incriminating and/or embarrasing things, and then collating it all into a coherent and special story. The day itself is honestly the most fun part!

I don’t want you stressing over whether to have me film the buzz of the morning prep or the boot stompin’, dance floor chaos at the end of the night just because of some package hours. Weddings aren’t about clock-watching, they’re about stories, and I want to tell yours in full.

That’s why I commit to the whole day, every time. Whether I’m with you for six, eight or twelve hours (okay, multi day weddings do cost more…), I’m all in – full energy, full attention, and fully invested. It makes no real difference to me, but it makes a world of difference to you and your film.

Of course, if you’re planning an elopement or something different, away in quiet location with a handful of people - which sounds amazing by the way - and know you only want a few hours captured, I’ve got an Elopement package just for that too!

DID YOU KNOW?

Over 1 in 4 Australian weddings occur on just 20 popular days of the year. Can you guess which ones? Uh-huh! Saturdays in March, April, September, October and November. Naturally, bookings often get tight around these times and prices sometimes go up.

If you’re on a budget, or just like to be different, consider holding your wedding on any of the other 345 (or 346) days of the year and you could be in for some savings not just from me, but likely from many of your other vendors, too!

Elope

For those escaping the overwhelming world of tradtional weddings and aiming for something more quiet, intimate and to-the-point.

Keystone

For the most essential video showcasing the most precious and memorable moments, the Keystone has all the beautiful visuals of the day set to fully licensesd music, but does not include audio from speeches/vows.

Signature

The Signature is for those wanting a more comprehensive story of their day told including audio from speeches and vows woven into the film to create a truly movie-like experience.

Pinnacle

A la Carte

Some tasty extras.

Decisions can be hard - trust me, as a chronic overthinker myself, I know the pain - and sometimes FOMO is even worse, leading to bad decisions in the moment anyway. Because all my packages (except for the Elope) include full day coverage with video and audio, all my packages and a la carte items are available to you at any time throughout the process, so you can tailormake the package of your dreams now, the day after the wedding, or up to a year down the line!

  • Know you want some extras from the get go? Awesome.

  • Want to keep it simple for now and if the budget allows for it after the day, upgrade to a longer video then? Easy done.

  • Heck, I try to hold all your video files for a year on my own backup system, so you could decide on your first anniversary that ‘actually, we do want to get an uncut speeches/toasts film or a doc edit extended cut“ - I gotcha covered team!

BUT WHAT ABOUT?

The FAQs

  • Colour me biased, but 110% absolutely yes!

    Almost every couple I’ve made a wedding film for has been shocked by the pace at which the day goes by, and how much they missed without realising!

    A wedding film will capture the tangible and intangible parts that make your day uniquely you, and take you right back to the moment, every single time you watch it.

  • I have shot many weddings solo and am more than capable of handling everything required to produce a stunning film for you. That said, I am still only one person!

    Having a second set of eyes, a longer lens, a fresh perspective and a different angle is always welcome in the editing room and can really add that extra something to your film.

    While it may seem like overkill from the outset, it can be the difference between getting those extra special moments that happen during times when I’m focussed on you! It’s also a must-have for larger weddings, and I will strongly suggest it if your guest list is over 150 people.

    Let me know if you’d like a second shooter, and I can arrange one of my trusty colleagues to join me on the day!

  • This is something that can and will vary greatly from couple to couple.

    Some couples could happily spend all afternoon frolicking around, some want to go back and spend time with their friends and family as much as possible, and others want to go and find a quiet corner to take in a few deep breaths. All of these are fantastic options.

    At the very bare minimum, I recommend setting aside at least 40 minutes to give both your photographer and I a chance to get some good stuff for you! What you do around that time is totally up to you.

  • Do not worry my friends! Most of us weren’t born with the natural ability to strike a killer ‘Blue Steel’ at the snap of the fingers and be comfortable with three cameras pointed at you while doing it.

    We’ll take our time to get comfortable, use a lot of fun and easy poses that are natural, beautiful, and sometimes silly that promote genuinely emotive and captivating interactions between you. Basically, have a good time to the point that you ideally forget there are any cameras there at all.

    Trust me, this is usually one of the most fun parts of the day!

  • Unfortunately due to copyright reasons, I’m unable to accomodate specific music requests.

    I license all my music from various vendors covering a range of genres and moods, and I’m more than happy to work with you to find a song/songs that will suit your specific taste.

    If your sights are set on one and one song only (don’t worry, I can relate!), we can chat about making a short Instagram reel with the use of said song subject to it’s availablity on the platform.

    This will be addressed contractually and is solely and strictly for Instgram use only. Any use outside of Instagram can place both you and I at severe risk of copyright infringment and litigation!

  • Yes!

    All the footage from your day can be purchased as an add-on to your essential package from the à la carte menu.

    Please keep in mind that this is completely unedited, uncut footage delivered as one continuous video. It can be many hours long and may include some footage of the ground and/or my shoes… sorry.

    Provided on separate USB/Hard drive as necessary.

  • My wedding films tend to last 4-7 minutes depending on coverage time, with an option for a 15-20 minute chronological edit available from the à la carte menu.

  • You can expect social media teasers within 48 hours, a wedding trailer within 7 days and your full wedding film and accompanying edits within 16 weeks.

  • Absolutely!

    It’s easy to think you’ll only want or need a particular amount of video when planning your wedding day.

    So often, though, have my couples been so enamoured with their highlight film that they just want as much as they can get. I always record ceremonies and speeches in full (if I’m there to cover them) to allow for as much flexibilty with my highlight film anyway, so you’re always more than welcome to request a full ceremony or speech edit after the big day.

LET’S DO IT!

The Process

Okay, so what next? This is an outline of the touchpoints between you and I throughout the process of enquiring and booking, all the way through to you riding off into the sunset.

One of the better 12-step programs you’ll ever invest in, if you ask me…

  • Fill out an enquiry form and the associated questions to help me get a better idea of your day and see if I’m available!

  • We can meet up over a coffee, wine, some table tennis or a game of Mario Kart and go over a few things from your enquiry questions.

    This will help us get to know each other, and allow me to get a better idea of your vision of the day ensure you get the right coverage.

  • While I try my best to accommodate people who contact me first within reason, I operate on a first booking fee paid, first serve basis.

    I work on a 25/25/50 payment shceme - I’ll send you a quote along with a contract to sign, after which a 25% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure the date, 25% upon delivery of teaser, and the remaining 50% upon delivery of final highlight film.

  • Once your booking fee is paid, you’ll receive a confirmation email as well as a post-booking questionnaire to go through some further details about you and your day - your favourite music and movies, and special requests an be included.

  • I can help with suggested timings and planning to make sure we can get the best light of the day for your couple portratis (your photographer will be stoked too!).

    This will help to make sure you can maximise time with your guests and loved ones whilst ensuring you get the best video and images possible.

    Please note, this is only optional and I by no means want to take control of how your day flows!

  • We will go through your post-booking questionnaire to discuss and finalise all the little ins and outs to make sure we are both on the very same page about everything!

  • In the week leading up to the day, I’ll send another email confirming the runsheet for the day and who will be where just to be extra totally sure.

  • Yeeeeha! You made it baby!

    This is the fun part, team. I’ll be there ready to capture your day as it unfolds in immaculate detail.

  • You’ll get some sneaky social sizzlers to share with the world - or keep to yourself - within 48 hours of me hittin’ my chair at home.

  • Once the big day is over, my work has just begun. The editing phase is where the vast majority of the magic happens aside from filming your beautiful faces.

    Within two weeks you’ll have a short trailer with audio from the day - think of it like one of those trailers you see for a new movie when you’re at the cinema.

  • You’ll receive your custom engraved USB with all related edits from your wedding day!

  • As you ride off into the sunset forever more, so comes the end of our professinal relationship, but hopefully the beginning of a new friendship!
